Today was a beautiful day. A little more than we expected actually, which led to some sunburn. Ouch! I’ve had really bad sunburns for Lori Foster’s event before so at least everyone will recognize me next weekend! I’ve attached some pictures from our bike ride out of Amsterdam and back. Pretty proud that after not having ridden a bike for 10 years we not only made it but I didn’t crash once. My husband … well, he made it.

Today we took a canoe trip through the wetlands north of Amsterdam. We stopped in several small villages along the way and had a picnic on a peat moss island that bobs up and down with the waves! I think the pictures speak for themselves. Every day I spend here I find I like The Netherlands more and more. This was a new side I hadn’t seen before but hope to get another glance at tomorrow when we rent bikes and take off on our own to explore! You can be sure the next Red Light series book will feature some sort of date with Star and Rick out here.

Last night was Friday night which is apparently crazy in Amsterdam. We saw a competition for best husband. I’ll leave the details to your imagination. This morning we’re eating some scrumptious breakfast that my husband brought back from the patisserie, the frommagerie and the charcuterie (sounds like we’re in France again instead of Amsterdam!). Yum! Now we’re off for a bike tour of the city and then to the American Book Center to sign and drop off goodies!

Well, we made it to Amsterdam. I thought I’d share the view from my temporary “office” on the garden terrace of our rented houseboat. What a perfect place to write!

Off to write!

I just saw that Stefani Clayton at Just Erotic Romance Reviews gave Razor’s Edge a five star review! You can read the whole thing at their site but here are my favorite parts.
“Great story! Razor’s Edge: Men in Blue 2 surprised me with the depth of the characters, and the perfect flow of the story itself. Isabella is not what I expected, and I loved her character! Not at all the spoiled rich girl that I expected, she was honest and personable. The chemistry between the two leading characters just leapt from the pages, which made the story all the more powerful. Razor is young, but boy! If it’s true that men get better with age, I’d love to read more stories with him. There were several secondary characters, including the introduction of Isabella’s sister, who is fascinating. I look forward to reading her story. Everything about this book was perfect, there was enough sexual tension throughout this story that when the characters finally gave in, whew! The sparks were hot and bright. I can’t say enough about this story, it’s a winner, you just won’t find many written as well.”
Razor’s Edge is available now in ebook and will be out in print on October 4, 2011. It’s up for pre-order on Amazon here.
